I have just started my professional career as a junior
software Developer at SBPL (Southtech Bhutan Private Limited) which is100% FDI software Development Company at
Thimphu TechPark. Southtech is a Bangladesh based company.
Our country is not developed for technology and I am sure
many of my friends will not understand what actually it is to do with as a software developer.
My parents often asked me what I am working on. For these I feel blind to explain
them. I simply told them I am working on computer related works, so that they can at
least feel what computer is and as to know my major degree qualification in Computer
Science. I am hopeful in future, with technology coming up I would proudly explain
them I am a software developer.
Indeed it’s a most tiring work to be a software developer
but taken major in BSc computer Science really suits these career. I am able
to keep update and learn many more beside the knowledge gained from my university college. We are entering into the real world implementation which is more
interesting than the theory we learned from our course. Learning and doing is
far better than just to learn.
Having to learn a lot,
search on internet, analyze it, and most importantly we have to provide our entire
time on doing these and even on weekends makes our day a most tiring perhaps. In a nutshell it is of a work load.
Despite work load it is the best place where we can learn
a lot. Otherwise whatever we have learned so far would have been turned into
useless and gradually it is bound to forget everything with the passing day.
So I feel lucky to work as a software developer. I can
keep my knowledge up to date and I am sure in future we shall become one of the technology advanced people.
